Red Trolley Ice Cream Style Homemade Red Trolley was born out of the belief that you could make an ice cream that was truly all natural. A place that did not mind spending the money and the extra time necessary to make a natural product that your taste buds would recognize, where you were excited about the flavor and variety, comfortable with the quality of the ingredients, and eager for the next time you could go there to gather with family and friends.

At Red Trolley, our goal is to return to the day when ice cream was made one way; with fresh ingredients, original flavors and an unwillingness to take short cuts. So delicious that you thought about it long after the last bite of cone.

Red Trolley was built so that we could all remember the joy of ice cream. The search for a fun, wholesome and close place to take their three children for an occasional treat is what first gave Julie and Patrick Shaw the idea of opening an Ice Cream Shop of their own. "We got tired of trying to steer the kids away from the birthday cake flavor and always having to tell the server to make the portions smaller. We knew that there was a way for them to have treats that were made of real food, not lots of artificial colors and high fructose corn syrup"

As longtime Highland residents, Patrick and Julie felt certain that their neighbors would have the same enthusiasm for the concept as they did. Knowing that the quality of product and the quality of service were the two most important elements, they partnered with Deanna Parker and Rick Browne and the Red Trolley team was complete.

For the Shaw's, the most unexpected bonus has been the evolution of a neighborhood gathering spot. It's a place where their children can catch up with friends, old and new and where families can gather to create memories all while enjoying some amazing ice cream and gelato.
